Mena Alexandra Suvari (born February 13 1979) is a famous American model and actress. She is also a fashion designer model. Shortly after beginning her career as a model, she began acting in guest roles on 1990's television shows such as Boy Meets World and High Incident. Her first film appearance was on 1997's dramatic Nowhere. Her roles on the film American Beauty, for which she received a BAFTA Award nomination and American Pie led to her being the subject of more public attention. Following that, she starred as the main character on the screen in Sugar & Spice (2000) with American Pie star Jason Biggs. Spun, an independent drama released in 2002 as well as the suspense film Trauma (2004) are her two most recent appearances. The actress was a part of HBO's drama show Six Feet Under. In 2004 she received an award for an Outstanding Cast member at the Screen Actors Guild Awards.
